Brief Biography

 

  • Costa Rica based artist born in 1982.
  • 2024 – Accepted to the Martin and Lorraine Kaminsky Residency Program Spring Semester at the Mana Contemporary in Jersey City.
  • 2016 – National Gallery of Costa Rica solo exhibition and acquisition into its permanent collection.
  • 2009- Studied Fine Arts/Scenography and Sculpture at The National University Of La Plata in Argentina.
  • 2007 – Completed Theatre residency at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in the Netherlands.
  • 2006 – Studied Acting at the National Theatre Academy in Costa Rica.
  • 2000 – Studied Pedagogy at the Universidad Internacional De las America in Costa Rica.

 

A full time Art teacher by profession, Enio’s artistic history crosses through multiple forms of creative expressions. Enio has worked on theatre projects as a scenographer and stage producer. Trained as a sculptor Enio is a self-tough painter primarily working with acrylic on canvas. He draws inspiration from his personal life and weaves it with his extensive readings of psychology, sociology, history, fiction and investigative studies.   

 
Among many exhibitions primarily held in Argentina and Costa Rica, most notably in 2016 Enio had a solo exhibition titled BROTES at the National Gallery of Costa Rica. The exhibition consisted of 350 pieces, 15 of which were acquired into the permanent collection of the National Gallery.
